You DO realize that that (admittedly funny) quote is nowhere to be found in the actual article, right? The article says rather than AOL is may be preparing to replace IE as its default Web browser.

You seemed to post this link as fact, rather than a smear, when you said "I am serious, just look at this other example of Microsoft wielding its abusive monopoly." Something along the lines of the bogus (but equally funny) headline we all read a while back about Microsoft suing Bandai because the Tomagotchi requires constant supervision or it will die, and Microsoft has a patent on that.
