Raymond, though lemmings here we all try not to be, folks of proven successful track-records are not to be ignored.
to wit: Warren Buffett bailed Berkshire Hathaway out of Fannie's and Freddie's a couple of years ago( or maybe it was just last year=brain fade), citing just too great a systemic risk. I believe your concerns are well founded.

No, I don't think it's easy to quantify the risk of a couple trillion in MBS pooots.... depends on all sorts of asssumptions for the Black Scholes model, including the assumption that BS IS the correct model.
