It's the "hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil" syndrome.

Unfortunately that isn't going to make the problems go away.

When the elections were going on, I didn't think it really mattered who won, to me both bush and gore were equally inexperienced. In addition there was nothing going on in the world that we were aware of that really needed a strong president. That all changed on 9-11, and I am glad now that Bush won, and Gore didn't. I do not think Gore would have been the right man for the job. I am not happy with Bush to the extent that I am a lot more hawkish in what I think needs to be done, I am amazed that he keeps saying "Islam is a noble religion", and that immigration hasn't been addressed quicker and in more draconian ways than it has been so far.
