I would be extremely wary of investing in Japanese companies period. Their is no concept of sharholder rights at all here, information disclosure is non-existent (and what is disclosed is not very meaningful -- some might even say misleading), the cross-shareholding system, and the creative use of subsidiaries etc, make investing in Japan quite an adventure. be very careful. do not assume these companies are reporting in the same manner and purpose as the US companies. be very careful. george
