<Both of those are correct they are associated with Adobe Acrobat 5 and with Excel and it still doesnt work.. I even highlighted the open box under advanced.. Any other ideas??? > Rich1: I'm out of ideas for now. Let's see if someone else jumps in to assist. Just to recap:(please correct if wrong) - Using IE - When clicking on a CSV file to download. a) System prompts to "Save file" b) You want it to Open Excel automatically without saving file. - the CSV file association is set for Excel Cheers Stang

You have a .CSV file? When you right-click it in Explorer, does Excel open it and behave as expected? Does NotePad open it? Does it look OK in NotePad? It should have Comma Separated Values and look like this...
