JWCB: You're starting to sound like Jim Dines. What silver mining stocks do you like? Are you considering the futures markets for your silver plays? I'm assuming with silver hovering around $4.50/ounce give or take, that the margins on futures contracts might be quite appealing and you can go far out into 2003/2004 contracts.

I also saw the Jimmy Rogers interview with Cavuta last night regarding inflation. He essentially said the government is lying through its teeth regarding inflation and that inflation is rampant everywhere (movie tickets, dry cleaning, etc., etc., etc.). I respect that guy a lot. Many view him as a quack. But I'm sure his very large net worth will do the talking for him. He's talking a lot about zinc. IMO, the central bankers of the world are all in cahoots with one another trying to prop the world economy up with paper crap. Don't forget folks, stocks are paper too.

I was talking to some pretty bright investors the other day. I asked them if you had $18B to spend to buy a company and your choice was either COST or VRTS (which are valued at approximately the same market cap), which would you buy. They said COST, of course, No question. It's a real business that makes money consistently and sells for 1/2 time sales. I asked then why is the Street valuing VRTS at $18B, and they hardly can make a profit. We all scratched our heads. It must be a Wall Street thing. Go figure. I know I can't.
