That's now more like it.

Frame buffer from eRAM, textures from SDRAM. Probably some large display list (commands) coming from rdram.

The rdram does a very good job if all you want is very long bursts of predictable sequential data. I guess the sun guys found out that they can't put their frame buffer or textures on rdram efficiently.

What is eRAM? They have three memory subsystems with at least 3 channels and all they got was 163Mpel/s. There's not much to celebrate, they have tons of bandwidth that's not used correctly, and they have to go back to the drawing board for Majic-II.

Ha, I just had a thought why this xvr-1000 is designed like this, these guys don't know how to build a proper memory arbiter (or don't know how to pipeline to run the system efficiently).
