I hadn't seen the news on Yates. I have basketball on the TV. I'm glad to hear that.

I heard briefly yesterday that the jury was instructed to answer two questions in determining a sentence. The first was whether she was a danger to anyone. Do you know what the second was?

Yes. And I think it's a fair sentence.

I still like the death penalty for most 1st degree murders though.

I think it is horribly sad. I wish that we could view the sentencing phase of trials like this in a way other than how to "punish." It should be how to resolve. I recognize that some things are unfixable but I don't see how life in prison for Andrea is either a resolution or a punishment.

I also don't understand her mother or her husband.
