No, I don't think so. According to the MPS Website they are owned by French Groupe SNPE.

Mimotopes seems to be another company with a Chironesque background and a similar name.

In February 2000, Chiron agreed to sell Mimotopes to MitoKor Inc., a San Diego based company headed by Walter Moos, which specialises in Mitochondrial Medicine. Under the conditions of the sale, Chiron retains access to the Chemistry R&D capabilities through a long-term research collaboration.

For the record, it is worth noting that the Mimotopes company has had various name changes. Even though people may have known it over the years as Chiron Mimotopes, Chiron Mimotopes Peptide Systems, or Chiron Technologies, it is still the original company at the original site and uses technology which has been developed through a series of improvements from the original surface grafted plastics. We continue to develop products and technologies around the solid phase chemistry/parallel synthesis concept.
