I heard the most appalling caller on a talk show that was on while I scrubbed the kitchen floor (gratuitous mention of this to impress everyone that I am a hard-working and productive person at times). Not only did she say that Yates deserved the death penalty, but that it was probably a good thing her children were dead because they would have grown up crazy too. I had to turn the radio off and cry. It is so terrifying-- the limitations of the human mind.
