With all the recent spending for UMC, Alchemy and now "AMD Purchases Yield Dynamics Software for Worldwide Yield Management.", I'd have to conclude that AMD is absolutely certain that they have the "holy grail" in the making...Hence your 3 GHz p4/1.13 GHz p3 analogy above might prove interesting to revisit 6 to 9 months out...
