"...we will prevail..."

That is true, regardless of partisan bickering here.
The people of this country will prevail against terrorism and even against martial law, if that occurs.

As far as avoiding future Clintons... I seem to remember an 8-year period with some major differences than our current regime. If we could find a "Clinton" who could keep the partisans out of his pants, we'd have someone who we could see knew what he was talking about, instead of relying on shadows in the background.

I didn't bring up the past, you did, for some reason. While you're on that subject, recall that policy wonk's advisor's efforts seemed to have done a couple things of value to some folks even today: (a)peace, (b)prosperity. I didn't vote for Clinton either time, but would given the choice between Clinton/Bush, that's for sure.

As far as the war against Islamic fundamentalism, it's critical to define what that war is, and more critical to define what success is. You can't even define what "win" is, and yet you are making global claims of "34-year adventure of anti-American left", etc., whatever that means.

Let me ask you this: What is the definition of "winning the war against Islamic fundamentalism", and when will you know the job is done?
