OTOH - it seems almost inconceivable that there wasn't a Thoroughbred demo for partners that needed to see it - even if it isn't about to be shipped in volume, it is almost certainly further along than Sledgehammer.

Makes sense. It's hard to tell (for single-language me anyway) by reading some of the sites what actually happened. A lot gets lost in the translation. After all, AMD's roadmaps show Thoroughbred maxing at 2800 Quant., so the author of that article could have been identifying that, while showing their photo. CeBIT lasts until the 20th, though? Incredibly long show. The Oktoberfest of this time of year!
