Warpfactor,
You were wondering how to take the false signals out of your scholastics try this, try using a short term and a somewhat longer term scholastic(short term kind of wakes you up to what might happen) and say they both must indicate the same thing before you move for a longer term trade. Place a 20 day moving average on the chart and use the stock price either above or below the average to confirm the buy or sell by both scholastics. And if it is a tech stock as another confirmation the NASDQ chart must also confirm using the same criteria at the same time. Now if you want to take 10 tech stocks and say the majority of them along with the NASDQ must confirm the particular one you are looking at you will have few false signals. You have got to play around with this and see how it would have worked in the past and make adjustments to the scholastics. Also remember don't buy on a scholastics cross over when scholastics is already on the high side of the chart. Or sell on a scholastics cross over on the low end of the chart. If you set it up right this will keep you out of trouble 80% of the time remember this is for longer term stuff and the more you work with scholastics while comparing it to historical patterns the closer you can get to the tops and bottoms. I have also found a set of scholastics that work for techs may not work as good for oils and some stocks have a mind of there own and will rarely confirm with the others. Add in a few of your own indicators and listen to dabum and some of the other knowledgeable guys on this board you like me should know just enough to be dangerous. VBG
