Mish, Thanks again for an excellent analysis which is needed to understand and use max pain to any degree. Profiting from the use of max pain is tentative at best for those of us not making more of a study of the theory. It is obviously a system which does work but can be affected by many cross currents as well. The fact that it hit the QQQ close on the button yesterday was very impressive. Please keep posting on this subject since we can use all the help we can find trying to anticipate the markets gyrations these days. Ted
