a friend of mine just returned from a trip to Turkey and Jordan, during which he had lots of discussions with lots of people on various foreign policy topics. I asked him to sum up his conclusions, and he said, "that's simple. The Arabs hate us and the Turks hate the Europeans."

What Turkey says in public may not resemble its internal calculations, nor does it mean they will refuse help when it comes to the point.

turkey has been helping since the very first recon teams were inserted prior to the gulf war. they continue to help daily.
