the first thing you want to do on the water
is just set your sail and, given that you have
the room, just let the wind TAKE you. see what
happens - watch where you are headed. then
tinker a little bit with the sail and make note
of the result. the only thing that counts will
be the hours spent on the water. you can take
all your internet sites and books and terms and
articles and toss them to the wind.

experience out there is the only way you'll
learn and you're going to have to do everything
wrong at least once - well, maybe twice <g>.

it will be fun.
