Well immaculate conception or not, Major Brigsby, your job, and I will freely admit it is a dangerous one, is to take your company up the Khyber and intercept Magdala before he can reconnoitre with the Kurdish chiefs and start an uprising. He may know that the money he needs is at the port at Azerbaijan and may try to take the fortress there. It is protected from the sea but if he gets overland it could be all over. If you can take him alive then so much the better, we don't need a martytr, but if it isn't possible, at least make sure that no one finds the body. Good luck and good hunting. EC<:-}

I don't know what you mean by the many territorial claims of the Jews...From my viewpoint the Jew's "claim" to Israel is irrelevant. The fact is, like many countries, their claim is premised on "historical claims" that may be suspect. Just as an example, almost every single Arab nation is essentially an artifical creation stemming from the colonial occupation of the area. There was no Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, with the borders that exist today. Yet no one challnages their right to exist. They were created several decades before Israel was. Look at the US, china or Russia. each has evolved over the course of many years that involved the physical destruction indigenous peoples. Yet no one is seriously harping about the right of any of these countries to exist. I think the bottom line is that the Arabs wont accept Israel right to exist precisely because it is a country of Jews, which they cannot tolerate. Given this, and given their stated positons about Israel's existence why should Israel trade land for a tenuous prospect of Peace? No one in their right mind would ever consider such a proposal unless the arabs start changing from within accepting a sembalce of democracy, shying away from their reactionary stances on many issues. right now the problem cannot be solved. given that Israle is doing what any rationale people would do. DSM
