Mike,

>>House Republican leaders have balked at President Bush's plea to raise the federal debt limit by the end of the month, forcing the Treasury Department to prepare to shift billions of dollars in civil service retirement funds to prevent the U.S. government from defaulting on payments to bondholders.>>

Can the treasury do this with out approval by congress?

Joan

Then I went to the "CheeseCakeFactory" for desert tonight... couldn't get in the place, and I hear it's like that in every decent restaraunt in the freakin VALLY!!! BUY EVERY STOCK YOU CAN GET YOUR HANDS ON!!!
