I liken it to driving with the family and noticing that the gas gauge is on "E". You try and remember how many miles you really have left. You just passed a station 2 miles back and the next one is 20 miles down the road. Despite the risk you proceed. Not so bad if it's just you.

I say Davis is human, just not prudent.
