I don't know what others use
but I can elaborate what I use

the one indicator that I use is called relative momentum index
tradingsolutions.com
paritech.com
and you can read about it from those 2 links between basketball games

and the only place that I can find is from
prophetfinance.com
click jump to 'java charts', click 'Technical Studies'
click 'All Studies', click 'Relative Momentum Index'
In 99.9% of the cases, a stock/index declines (in most cases, marks the top) when it touches 90 ...
$INDU (Dow Jones 30) was over 90 last Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday ...

you can play with it since it is free !!!
