"that the market is likely to get more volatile"..i.e higher volatility?

so maybe higher VIX (fear component?) possibly to follow? i.e. VIX more likely up in the longer term than down even if it does not do so soon/immediately/set lower lows possibly before heading up?

So what does that say about longer-term (not near term) market direction in say a few months from now?

Granted, VIX has all to do with implied volatility and hence is a measure of the predictive powers of players about the direction of a sub-sector of the market, not NECESSARILY the actual move of the market.
