But, IMHO for at least 10 years now, the United States has been pulling away from the rest of the world once again. << well you choose to look at the success of a nation based on economics. what really keeps a nation thriving is culture. our culture has been in an accelerating decline for a few decades, and eventually it will affect us economically to the point of being quite evident.
