Richnorth,

You have the right to feel about wars and how they work to reach the goals of their masters as you please.

I do think that you do need to go see a movie that has just come out. It is called "We were soldiers". It may give you a different perspective on what the soldiers did in a war that nobody wanted. You may rail against fighting back all you want. If someone shoots at you, than stand up and take it like a man. Do not shoot back. If your country asks you to go to War, than just go somewhere else if you do not agree with what they are doing. Never do what your country asks you to do if it is against your principles.

But one favor I ask: Do not rail against those that did do what they considered their duty. They served their country no matter their personal feelings.

If you come away from this movie still thinking that it was fought only by the minorities, the poor, and the spoiled flower children, than I will be quiet. It is time that you get your information from other sources.

Be honest in your impression, and do not get emotional. After all, it is only a movie. The only difference is that it does not have an agenda.
