Yes, that old 2nd amendment argument. Been there, done that. I don't think we'll convince each other either way. I will fire a shot across the bow and say that handguns are not an essential part of any militia. Even if they were, does that mean everyone who owns a gun is automatically in the militia?

Yes, I've heard all the counter arguments, you don't need to post them for my benefit.
