I didn't realize who he was at the time. When Karen Campbell's body appeared on the side of a back road that next spring after the snow melted, authorities made the connection and published his picture in the local paper. It was then that I realized who he was. Ironically I also sort of knew one of his victims, Janice Ott. (We went to the same High School, but she was two years ahead of me.) She was abducted from Lake Sammamish State Park early in his campaign of terror. It was a too close experience for me. M
