retired, Good to hear from you - how are you doing? >>you get over 7 % on PCL...what a person can do is buy some and sell the calls. Agree, this would be a good strategy. During the last market downturn people were piling into my divvie plays and they will be looking for the same when thing get interesting again. To tell the truth I am buying dividend paying instruments in companies that have products that are required for human survival - talk about conservative - want to add to my TLM preferred A that returns 9% and APJ at 8.25%. The risk is these could be called but the oil, gas and energy sectors will have business in an ugly economic downturn. Joan
