Still carting that heavy bag around with me. I'll hold on to that until the day I pass from this earth and give it to my kids. It's several hundred ounces. Not worth much money today, but maybe someday in the distant future it will be. Maybe some day folks will come to realize the fiat paper money crap system the whole world economic system is built upon is built out of sand, but you're running up against governments, central bankers, etc. who have their own agenda about what real money is. How many years (decades) was gold pegged at $35/ounce until the bubble in gold took it temporarily to $800/ounce back way when. The time will come, but maybe not in my lifetime when precious metals get their proper due. And maybe you'll be correct and it will happen sooner than anyone thinks. I believe production of silver has underpaced the demand for many, many years now and it still sits under the $5/ounce range. Amazing, but you can't fight city hall so they say. I was looking into SIL (Apex) and it's a Cayman Island company with hardly any revenues or income. But the chart looks wonderful. Must be sitting on some serious silver hordes somewhere. Thanks for the stock tips as they're a much more convenient way to play the silver market than actual physical possession of the metal. I use to dabble quite a bit in the future markets a number of years ago and I loved trading the silver market back then when its daily range would be 10-20 cents. Now it's a dud. But if silver takes off like you believe, the silver futures market will explode with fortunes being made because of the leverage those markets afford with obviously the risk. The only caveat to the rise of precious metals is the apparent and future interest rate hikes everyone is looking for out of the Fed. That would put a damper on the precious metal markets IMO. Again, I haven't kept up with these markets in quite a number of years, and I didn't know of the recent silver default. You learn something every day. Thanks again JW. jmanvegas
