First, you're not quoting me correctly. Find the post you are remembering and quote it accurately.

Second, there _are_ worse things that have happened to many on these threads. The death of a nephew is clearly tragic, but is no less tragic than death of sons and daughters, deaths of mothers and fathers, deaths of siblings. I know for a fact that some of these things have happened to some of us.

But we did not fling insults to others during these events and then attempt to invoke a sympathy ploy. Believe me, if one of _my_ nephews had just died of leukemia an hour earlier (and I knew about it), I wouldn't be slinging the insults and partaking in the Great Game on the AMD and Moderated AMD and Intel threads. And if a sibling or parent or child had died, I wouldn't be on the SI forum _at all_.

But to quote what I wrote, which was shorter than the above description, please cite the original, not your vague memory.
