Yes, I was being facetious. However, my underlying feeling is that the 'new conservative' movement is mostly powered by ditto heads who soak up the rants of O'Reilly, Limbaugh, Hannity, et al and regurgitate them whole. Why does it seem that most conservative posters on discussion threads insist on cut and paste and links instead of using their own words? Why does it seem that conservatives seem to have the same argument for certain issues ("Guns don't kill people. People do", "Cars kill more than guns, shouldn't we ban cars", "Homosexuals should have no rights because they're trying to recruit my kids")? I believe many (not all, of course, that would be a generalization :) conservatives have been indoctrinated in certain 'talking points' to support positions that are basically unsupportable.

That's what gets me about O'Reilly in particular. His show includes the 'Talking Points', because he knows it is useful for his popularity to indoctrinate as many 'Zone Heads' as he can. Then, he shamelessly promotes his books, which have hypocritical names like the 'No Spin Zone'. Crap, that man spins faster than my duck hook.
