John with current exchange rate $350,000 US, would get you a $700,000 Australian home.
A few years ago I bought what I think is a very nice home with a view of Sydney harbor for $575,000 Aussie dollars.
I think that same home today in the bay area would cost maybe $2 million.
I'm currently betting that in the next few years the Aussie dollar will move up against the US dollar. No disrespect to the US dollar intended.
