See my other post on the ratio of justified homicides to murders, suicides, and accidents. 22 to 1. THAT is why you see less reporting on these 'defensive situations'; they are statistically overwhelmed by 'non defensive situations'. Studies have also shown that states with concealed weapons laws had LESS of a drop in crime than states that did not have concealed weapons laws. So much for the value of defensive firearm use. Unlike pools, cars, etc. handguns have no use except to kill, maim, and ruin lives.
