Thanks Kevin....you have helped me reconsider applying for a conceal carry permit with this sentence alone...>>>>A single person with a gun can kill many more before being stopped than a person with say, a knife. Hence, gun have increased lethalness><<<<<

And a law abiding person with a gun can stop instantly a single person killing many. Your entire argument is based upon mentally retarded process logic. If one cannot stop all drugs or even most drugs from illegally entering the country or having someone set up a home brew lab, One cannot stop guns from being made, stolen, or imported.

I'd guess you are an all thumbs kind of person and can do very little along the lines of original design or fabrication of whatever. There are hundreds of thousands in this country who have the ability and can find the knowledge to make any number of guns.

As you make guns more rare, you only increase the number of guns in criminal hands vs the number of guns in the hands of law abiding citizens. That's just plain stupid. But I expect no other kind of thinking from a vacant liberal minded lefty loonytoon.

Once criminals start committing crimes using pools as a weapon, I'll consent to filling it in

giving up your computer anytime soon? Or flying? Just what are you willing to give up to feel safe? Knives? Fertilizer? Fuel oil? Criminals, like all humans have a certain talent for genius.

BTW, isn't a person who violates pool safety that results in a child's death a criminal just as much as someone who leaves a loaded firearm out in the presence of children.

I don't distinguish criminal intent or using pools as a weapon, just like you include accidental gun deaths and suicides in your analysis and argument.

Do you contend that no one has ever been intentionally drowned in a swimming pool? I don't believe it. Better start deciding what you're going to plant in your newly-recovered yard.

Finally, you're not campaigning to make guns safer, you're campaigning for their abolition. I'll maintain my position vis-a-vis pools. You can't guarantee swimming pools' absolute safety, and it's clear from my previous source that children are victims of swimming pool violence in grotesquely disproportionate numbers, so much so that private swimming pools ought to be banned. Call in the contractors. Nice try, though.
