I'm no expert in SRAM design, but I assume that Intel is saying that their 52Mbit SRAM chip was made on a 7-layer Cu 90nm process. But it's quite possible that I misunderstood.

I'm no expert on that either but I thought it only took 2 or 3 metal layers to do SRAMs.

. I'd like to see Intel pull away from the rest of the industry, as that would sure be a great way for the stock price to test its highs.

I know a guy at Intel who says as soon as Intel hits $1,000 he's outta there!
