"Re <<"Jew-controlled" is what was in German propaganda before the Kristallnacht (crystal night) in 1938.>>

"Oh! I think I now understand why that post got the reaction it did. Thanks."

Duh.

"I could be wrong, but I don't think he intended it as such. "

You are deficient in the English language. How you can presume to "moderate" (censor) discussions when you have only a passing acquaintance with the vernacular, and no finesse whatsoever with respect to the nuances of politics, is beyond me.

I knew immediately that "Jew-controlled media" was a term of insult, whether true or not (watch Mani suggest my banning based on his deficient understanding of clauses such as "whether true or not"). Was Gottfried explicitly using a Third Reich expression to make a point? Probably not. Was it a code phrase for what Jesse Jackon refers to as "Hymietown"? Certainly.

That Mani is saying "Oh! I think I now understand why that post got the reaction it did." shows his ineffectuality in suppposedly "moderating" this debate.

Rhetoritician, heal thyself.

You said that this topic, that of Gottfried's explanation of the Jew-controlled media, was off topic and would not be permitted to unforld further.

Inasmuch as you yourself are continuing to post on the topic, and not calling to task your Droid minions who have posted a dozen messages on it since you declared it thoughtcrime, I will take this as reason to continue to post on this topic.

Mani. No he had no bad intentions at all. Just translatory problems. Sort of like what we get when we use babelfish to make English from German, I bet some of that stuff from ct makes him laugh.
As for defence of others, remember the famous quote from German Bishop Niemoler about the situation under Hitler that might teach us something:

When Nazis put communists in the concentration camp, I did not protest because I was not a communist; when they persecuted the social democrats, I did not protest because I was not a social democrat; When they massacred the Jews, I did not protest because I was not a Jew; When they banned all political parties and trade unions, I did not protest because I was not one of them; when they came for me, there was no one to speak for me.

if you mean that his intentions are not to break the glass of jewish shops (Kristallnacht) then you are right. But that is the 1st step......
