Here comes that Miller crap again. The Supreme Court found that a [sawed-off shotgun] is [not] any part of the ordinary military equipment or that its use could contribute to the common defense (and therefore protected under the Second Amendment). Since it is not any part of military equipment, a Tax Stamp must be affixed for interstate transportation and therefore the offense (transporting same without such a stamp) under Supreme Court review was reinstated. This logic extended would lead to absurd results -- automatic rifles, rockets launchers, artillery, and so forth, that we all agree are beyond the protections of the Second Amendment.

You overlook that in spite of its deficiencies, the US v. Miller decision DID AFFIRM THE INDIVIDUAL RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS. "[The historical sources] show plainly that the Militia comprised all males physically capable of acting in concert for the common defense... And further, that ordinarily when called for service these men were expected to appear bearing arms supplied by themselves and of the kind in common use today."
