Kevin the right wing wants gun toting to protect them from themselves and those evil poor folks who may rob them to get some drugs or bread. Meanwhile a lot of folks get shot and killed. It is amazing that these folks keep citing the isolated incidents where hand guns actually do some good. It is like arguing that seat belts are bad because if you drive off the rode into a lake you may drown because you seat beat won't unlatch.

You want to start a "copy and paste" war here of anecdotal information, which you haven't verified either as to source or veracity. Nice try. I might respond to some, just for fun, even though irrelevant. But not tonight. I'm about to sign off pretty soon. Tomorrow's a school day.

Holy smokes, the one about the gun toting female School Teacher is the worst...yup...just like hanging a sign outside the school saying...THERE ARE NO GUNS IN HERE UNLESS YOU"VE SEEN A COP COME IN TODAY. That's the way to scare criminals away from a place, anyplace. LOL, just like the semi-famous yard sign proclaiming in bold "we have no guns inside." LOL. And today, some courthouses around the country employ metal detectors, and force visitors to leave simple pocket knives at the door...this is presumably so criminals know that if they take out the guards at the security check right away, they'll meet little further resistance inside. Well, those courthouses are certainly not really safer for it, IMO, and it is sad that this sort of thing is our response to the 911 call. Visitors to courthouses have a right to bear(not bare, LOL- what, you were talking of a right to short sleeves?) arms and pocket knives, and our courthouses would be safer if they did. Dan B
