so what new zealand is essentially saying is, "we are not self-sufficient enough to thrive on our own -- our success is dependant on the rest of the world to buy our agriculture products."

never mind the fact that the rest of the world deems it important to be somewhat self-sufficient and grow their own food. i feel much more comfortable knowing that our government supports our farmers so we have domestic food sources and don't have to rely as heavily on foreign food sources.
