This really isn't a REIT question. It's a momentum question and I usually find "Don't fight the tape" to be useful. Until the REITs stop making highs for 6-8 weeks in a row, or drop below the trendline connecting the lows, or you are a good chart reader, I would be content to ride the wave.

Same thing for GL. As long as REITs are running, I would hold after the dividend until you have a better trade. I don't know if GL usually pulls back after the dividend, but it is attractive to yield chasers.
