Why? Has AMD suddenly gained a lot more pull in the development community that I am not aware of? Otherwise, I would think that the greater returns to be realized from Hyperthreading (not to mention that Hyperthreaded CPUs will eventually comprise the greater installed base) might be incentive enough to put resources towards the former.
