I don't know if we really had it better then kids do now. Certainly my 13 year old brother had a lot more "stuff" then I do. Of course how much stuff you have as a measure of well being can easily be overrated but I don't think life is more difficult for him in other ways then it was for me.

Of course I'm only comparing growing up in the 70s to growing up in the 90s but I'm not so sure growing up before the 70s was so much easier.

Maybe I can get a better idea about the topic if you talk about in what ways you had it easier then kids today.

I suppose a couple of ways might be that there is more divorce now, and many kids' time is more programed (instead of just hanging out playing in the neighborhood, they now have leagues or formal instruction in so many things, and their parents drive them around to scheduled activities.).
