"Anyone care to forecast tomorrow's Fed posture and reaction?"

No raise in rates and no lower either. Bias move to neutral from lowering. I think I remember us discussing this about 9 months ago. They will not raise rates for at least another 2 or 3 Q's...by then "they" will see some inflation coming into play. Greenie has already stated that he can live with a little bit of inflation, but not too much.

As to the reaction of the market...very short term drop (minutes) as they will only look at the bias and not the reason behind it. Once the dust settles then it will be more of the same ol' stuff...tech's in a trading range, special situations will make new highs etc.

LTUS...tole' ya

"In a statement after the one-day meeting, the Federal Open Market Committee dropped its 15-month-old warning that weakness posed the greatest threat to the economy and said risks were now more evenly balanced between inflation and weakness."

Pretty much says they are going into neutral stance huh? Some anal-ysts see the first rate hike as early as June...I don't think that the FOMC will be that ahead of the curve. There is still too much uncertinty out there to justify the growth numbers they are touting.

Sergio,

Those Conn. woman BB players should be in their own league. They kicked Iowas butt all around the court last night. Congrats on the victory. I heard the announcer say they have four all americans and possibly four first round draft picks. Talk about a league of their own. They should walk to the title with the perfect season.
