Hmm interesting. I haven't had to deal much with HWP, although I did a little when I was with Oracle trying to make our stuff work on their platform. SUN, otoh, was exactly like you are describing. A bunch of young, geeky nerds with no concept of how to get a product out the door. Meetings where these guys tried to show off and "out geek" each other - incredible. You had to go up to the top levels in the company to get them to certify anything that wasn't 100% java beans or whatever. I guess the moral is any company that sells a technical vision is impossible to work with. The good news is they eventually fail anyway! LOL
