TOTAL FISCAL IRRESPONSIBILITY?

Hardly, r4e,

What the Bush mafia seeks is total responsibility. Rep. David Obey (D.-WI) summed it up very well in House Appropriations Sub-committee hearing last Thursday while he was dressing down Mitch Daniels, the erstwhile and regrettable head of the OMB.

Obey disparaged Daniels for the arrogance and Enronesque approach of the Bush hubris machine. Daniels in no way wanted to tell Congress how Tom Ridge, the Domestic Terror Tzar was going to be wasting, er, sorry, I mean spending $10-20 Billion on what? The Administration said it must be totally responsible. Not as you suggest, irresponsible!

Obey summed it up perfectly, and we need to repeat it to our Congressmen and Senators in our individual states. "NO INFORMATION, NO MONEY!" We need to let our representatives know how reprehensible the power grab of the Bush leaguers really is.

Cordially, Ray
