i think you are getting annoyed with the off-topic posts. fair enough. if people stop asking questions not related to commodities, i promise to go back to the topic at hand.

i do think these protectionist rumblings we hear around the world could lead to higher commodities prices in the near future. i actually think higher prices are a good thing, i don't care what everyone else says. so i know it's a stretch, but free trade vs protectionism does have an effect on commodities.
