<hold nearly 70% equities for a "balanced" portfolio.> but he is indicating a level just beneath 70 now.(that i would interpret as the 69 area).That sounds near record levels,no? And also the fact that the allocation has ranged in plateau 62% area since mid 98 is yet another indication we are locked in a deep complacency and no capitulation has actually occurred. Not even a huge loss in equity value could shake the faith in stocks Indeed America has got religion, faith in stocks:) Will be fascinating to see how this plays out, it indeed is in a in psycho-social framework; however, i don't know if it is Cult or Cultural in nature:) Max
