C, >Dan, if we apply the rule of thumb of 30-50% increase for the shrink to .09 then intel should get to 3.9 to 4.5Ghz with the P4 at .09 ( and have 1Mb Cache ) so a hammer at 3Ghz doesn't sound too impressive.

Have to nitpick, it's MB for Megabytes, Mb for Megabits, so you should have said MB. I know you know that caches, and main memories, are expressed in Megabytes, or Gigabytes, etc.
