Yes, "get the drapes!" LOL! I like it, Pat ...

...I think it should catch on in mainstream vernacular...or rather, among those of us who find SNL style cyncism dead on the mark ... I'll do my part to popularize the term ... all words offensive to John Ashcroft that remotely allude to the female anatomy ... male as well, I would assume. I wonder what he calls his own ... well ... you know ...his 'pee pee.' HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Probably just that, right?

BTW: when is the last time you heard anyone use the word, "heck" in R/L conversation? With -- or even without -- a straight face?

I haven't heard anyone say it besides 'Wally Cleaver' since 1958 on 'Leave it to Beaver.' I don't believe I have ever heard it uttered in real life. Not even by children.

It will be a cold day in hell before I ever use it.

Smarmy? Vacuous? Useless? Morally condescending and preening? Dandy? -g- ("dandy" as in, 'From all indications, Neocon, for example, seems to be quite the dandy!' <breathlessly!>)

All of the above, in spades, I say. The word, 'heck,' that is ...

;)
