Actually, I think the opposite. While I'm not a fan of the merger, I voted for it because there is quite a bit of opportunity in it. Certainly HWP needs CPQ more than the other way around, but that's another issue.

However, I'm not sure you'll get CPQ voting against if HWP goes against, due to the high level of management held shares. In fact, it's not likely at all. The CPQ part really is a done deal.

In the end, HWP will approve this, and all these discussions will wind up being worth naught.

Lynn....I'm afraid this is as good as it gets for CPQ shareholders....if this doesn't go through Plan B might as well be begging Gateway to buy CPQ.
