*OT* Yeah, I grew up on that league, and it broke my heart (more than any girl, tells you where my head was at- g, ng)...when that league folded..

Of course, they have a mini-version (MLS) now in the States, but the names of the teams are freakin' dreadful....KC are now the Wizards, but used to be called "the Wiz"....they would play the Dallas Burn (my god)...and the ESPN guys would joke (rightly) the Wiz vs. the Burn...its the Preparation H Bowl! g

Call me old school, but I like team names after animals or history and with an "S" at the end. Cuban actually does some neat things in Dallas...not all related to spending more money...its all about making the customer experience more pleasant, IMO, for you can never, always have a winning team. Fans have to come (mostly) for other reasons to sustain a franchise...."Buying to win" is only going to create winners and franchises going out of biz/moving..

Actually, the best thing that could happen to the Canucks is a stronger Canadian dollar ng

I didn't realize you were that good of a hockey player. <g>

Congrats.

Will you be hawking beers for $5.50 apiece?
Taping sticks?

Or did you get the job as the Zamboni driver?
Now that would be a fun job!
